Fitness Programs

Silverlake "The Family Place" proudly offers an assortment of fitness programs to keep you on track toward your fitness goals. These programs span everywhere form our 12 Week Ultimate Fitness & Nutrition Program all the way to FitBox. 12 Week Ultimate Fitness & Nutrition - This is by far the most methodical program Silverlake offers. Methodical in the fact that every angle of your weight management is considered. Meetings with our Fitness Coordinator and Director are paired with a Think Light nutrition plan. 36 WORKOUTS over the 12 weeks...that's not even the beginning! Every participant receives binder that outlines and tracks nutrition, cardio, strength training, progress, and a calendar of events. We will meet with you once a week to set up your plan of attack for that week. The combination of accountability and motivation can be a very powerful tandem. Trilogy - Did someone say "BOOT CAMP"? All over the nation the most successful exercise programs are fitness boot camps. Ours is no different, this program will fill up each and every session. Our Boot camp only makes up one third of Training Trilogy. This program will give you the value of knowing and feeling like you have not wasted a single second! If you have not seen results, your workouts have become stagnant, or you want a fun way to get in shape, the Trilogy is for you. The series is for ages 12 and up, all members of all fitness levels are welcome. The three classes that make up the program are: Boot Camp, Interval Abs, and Endurance Muscle Pump. FitBox - There's no question that boxers are some of the best conditioned athletes the world has ever known. They push their muscles to the limit in each and every workout. Boxing is also a wonderfully productive way to release stress. Think about how much fun your job would be if you could hit the heavy bag between conference calls. FitBox is a fitness style boxing class geared to knock out a few pounds with instructor John Williams. You will definitely get your heart rate up. Camp 300 - "Train like a SPARTAN". The Spartan warriors in the movie 300 appeared to be chiseled out of stone. This was not a digital rendering, or an optical illusion. This was the result of good old fashioned hard work. In fact, this movie has sparked a craze in the fitness industry. Functional strength introduced to circuit training. There are two major elements to this 300 equation: First of all you must have a body, the shape and size doesn’t really matter, just a body. Second is motivation. This is where Silverlake’s Personal Training Staff comes in. We are proud to offer Camp 300 an outdoor bootcamp where you bring your body and we will motivate you to chisel it to whatever you want it to be. Fitness Challenges - Throughout the year Silverlake offers up a variety of fitness programs geared toward friendly competition. Check back in the fitness area periodically to make sure you don't miss out on any of these fun contests.

Youth Fitness Class - With school gym classes shrinking and video games at home, our youth is becoming less active. Well Mom & Dad, now your kids can enjoy fitness and fun all in one. Children ages 6-12 can participate every Monday and Wednesday at 4:30pm (classes end 5:15 on Monday and 5:10 on Wednesday). Not only will this give you parents an extra opportunity to get a workout in, but the kids will be running around having a ball as well. Notes: not all children will be productive in this setting. On those days when there is a large group, the class will be held in the basketball court. No pre-registration or sign-ups necessary.

Junior Certification - We require that all of our members between the ages of 12-17 be certified before they are able to utilize any machines in the fitness area. This is for their safety and the safety of others around them. These sessions are designed to give the young adult a proper understanding of the equipment and how to safely utilize it. The Junior Certification times can be found at Silverlake's front desk. Here each participant must be registered ahead of time. Only 5 will be taken around at a time, so sign up as early as possible.
