Dave Smith
Director of fitness
"I have been working in the fitness industry for 20 years and have spent the last 16 of them at Silverlake Family Fitness Center and Better Bodies. Upon graduating college in 2005 from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, I was lucky enough to find an industry that I truly love. There is no "one size fits all" plan for achieving fitness goals and anything is possible with an individualized approach to accomplishing what you set out to do on your fitness journey. I am passionate about seeing success in others. From improving your quality of life, to getting in the best shape of your life. I strive to make you feel (and see) that you get out what you put in, and even small changes can make a big difference. The health benefits and longevity are worth it! My desire is to find what drives you, channel your motivation, and encourage you to push forward to make your goals a reality."

Andrea Hamilton
Fitness Coordinator
"Safety, form and fun are my top priorities when training! I want to be the helping hand to your fitness success and give you the confidence to come to the gym by yourself."

Jonah Copsy
personal trainer
"Every workout, every step forward and every bit of activity goes towards getting you motivated and help you reach your goals, but for you to enjoy the journey as well! I look forward to their journey together with you!"

Savannah Allen
personal trainer
"I made the decision to pursue a career in personal training because it combines both my passion for health and fitness as well as helping people. For the past five years, as I was completing my schooling, I worked as a pediatric nursing assistant. I got the pleasure of working with many great kids and young adults with a wide range of medical conditions. I started at Silverlake in January of 2022. During my time at Silverlake, I've gotten to see and be a part of some really amazing experiences, such as training with a competitive u-12 soccer team and Clipper swimmers, completing the David Goggin's 4x4x48 challenge, and leading a group of clients through amazing adventures like a 36-mile day hike around east fork lake. Getting to be a part of these really opened my eyes to the impact that a trainer makes and that's when I knew training was for me. My goal as a trainer is to challenge, guide, and encourage you to reach your full potential while also having fun doing so."

Jamie Schumacher
personal trainer
"My primary goals as a trainer are to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle, step outside your comfort zone, and find the fun in fitness. Whether you are just beginning your fitness journey, returning after an injury, or aiming to reach your peak performance, I am excited to help you reach your goals!"

"We are more often frightened than hurt, and suffer more from imagination, than reality." - Marcus Aurelius
My goal is challenging you to make health and fitness a priority, so you can live a long and happy life with those you love.
